Other than English Angoras, Satin Angoras have always been one of my favorites. They have the most amazing fiber, which although not as soft as English angora fiber, it shimmers and shines in the sunlight. The rabbits glow in a stunning display of vibrant color when the light hits them. Originally a cross between french angoras and the satin rabbit breed, Satin angoras are the newest of the ARBA angora breeds and are considered a rare breed. Their wool is much finer than the other angoras breeds as each hair has a hollow shaft allowing light to enter causing the rabbit to shimmer. Because of this finer wool, Satins do not have as dense a wool as the other angora breeds.
