Giant Angoras are the rarest of the angora breeds. They were recognized as a breed in 1988. Giants are the only 6 class angora breed and should weigh between 91/2 and 10 pounds. They produce the most wool out of the angora breeds which makes them perfect for the fiber artist who wants to produce the maximum amount of fiber. Currently GA's are only showable with the REW coloring however black is also in the process of being recognized. Although we strive to breed for correct bodies and wool according to ARBA standards, we also like to breed several non showable colors since fibers play an important role on our farm as well.
